Bill to support Ukraine to be considered in the U.S. Senate in September, – statement

A bill to support Ukraine is scheduled to be introduced in the U.S. Senate in September. The bipartisan legislation will enshrine the bilateral security agreement between the United States and Ukraine.

“We will introduce the Ukraine Support Act, sponsored by Senator Richard Blumenthal, on the Senate floor in September. This bipartisan legislation will enshrine the bilateral security agreement reached by the Biden administration and the Zelenskiy government in July of this year,” Richard Blumenthal and Senator Lindsey Graham said in a joint statement following their visit to Ukraine.

The statement emphasizes that “this will send an important signal to the world and show that the United States continues to support Ukraine.”

As a reminder, on August 12, U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham and Richard Blumenthal arrived in Kyiv. Among other things, they commented on Ukraine’s military operation in the Kursk region and noted that the United States should lift all restrictions on the use of American weapons to strike at Russian territory.
