When restoring schools, kindergartens, hospitals and other social facilities in Ukraine, the availability of alternative sources of heat supply must be a prerequisite for the projects. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund, Pavlo Kostyuk.
The other day, the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced the launch of a pilot project for five typical schools, which are being reconstructed under new realities.
“The projects will provide shelters and the creation of functional spaces. This is very relevant! In addition, working standard concepts will save budget funds, which are already in short supply”, Pavlo Kostyuk commented on this news.
At the same time, one more factor should be taken into account – the weakened energy system of the country, he added
“We all remember last winter. The next ones may be the same. Thus, even now, in developing projects, it is necessary to include as a mandatory norm the installation of alternative sources of heat supply at social facilities”, says Pavlo Kostyuk.
Among promising methods of heat generation, he names, in particular, the use of renewable natural resources. Now it is not an experiment, but rather a necessity, insists the head of the URF. In his opinion, there will be many sponsors and investors who will help Ukraine with this. In particular, the Ukrainian Reconstruction Fund has ready projects for the use of heat pump systems.
