Tyler and Nikki Chay, a couple from the United States, have completed another stage of the Don’t Can’t for Ukraine marathon in Ternopil. They were joined in the race by soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine, and together they ran a symbolic 5 kilometers.
The marathon “Don’t Can’t for Ukraine” (“No… I can… for Ukraine!”) is intended to draw attention to the support of Ukraine in the international arena.
“Chey’s marathon is an important signal to the international community about the unbreakable strength and resilience of Ukrainians. Such support shows that the war in Ukraine remains in the center of the world’s attention. It helps us continue to attract resources to rebuild infrastructure and support the victims,” commented Victoria Korsunova, Director of the Kyiv office of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund.
The Chey couple has already covered 300 km of the planned 1200 km, starting their journey on the border with Romania and aiming to finish it in Zaporizhzhia.
“Each such gesture of support motivates not only our defenders but also the civilian population. It shows that Ukraine has friends all over the world and together we can overcome any challenges. We are grateful to Tyler and Nikki for their initiative and strength of spirit,” added Victoria Korsunova.

In his turn, Tyler Chey noted that the purpose of the campaign is to show that even during the war Ukraine remains a strong country with beautiful cities and people.
“We want the world to see this and continue to support Ukraine,” emphasized Tyler Chey.
The Don’t Can’t for Ukraine marathon is not only a test of physical endurance, but also an important gesture of solidarity with Ukrainian defenders who are fighting for the independence of their country.
