Director of the Kyiv office of the Ukraine Reconstruction Fund Victoria Korsunova emphasized the importance of starting the process of rebuilding Ukraine without delay, despite the ongoing hostilities. According to her, delaying the reconstruction of critical infrastructure may slow down the country’s return to stable development.
“We cannot wait until the war is over to start rebuilding. Reconstruction must start now, as it is an investment in the future, which is impossible without a functioning infrastructure,” said Victoria Korsunova.
According to Ms. Korsunova, special attention should be paid to reconstruction projects of social infrastructure, which suffered the greatest destruction during the war. Restoring hospitals, schools, kindergartens, and other socially important facilities is the key to returning normal life to Ukrainians and ensuring the country’s sustainable development.
“Social infrastructure projects are the basis for the future of Ukraine. They provide a quality of life for citizens, create jobs and are the foundation for rebuilding society,” added Viktoriia Korsunova.
The URF is actively working to attract investment in these critical projects.
“We urge to increase the volume of investments in the restoration of social infrastructure, because the rapid revival and future success of Ukraine depends on it,” summarized the Director of the URF Kyiv Office.
