About LMH
Politics is easier to follow when the constraints are visible. LMH reports government the way it operates: through statutes, budgets, agencies, courts and the bargains required to assemble a majority. Coverage concentrates on economic policy — taxation, spending, regulation, trade — and on the legal machinery that turns an announcement into an obligation. The intended reader is professionally interested: someone in law, policy, business or public administration who needs to know what will take effect, and when.
Formats are analysis and explainer. An explainer takes a bill, a ruling or a rule and sets out what it requires, whom it binds, the date it applies and the challenges likely to follow. Analysis addresses cause: which coalition made a measure possible, which interest paid for it, why an earlier version failed. Party talking points are not reproduced as argument, and no piece assigns motive it cannot document.
Politics covers elections, coalitions and the distribution of power between parties and institutions. Policy follows measures through drafting, consultation and implementation, with the fiscal cost attached. Law reports courts, statutes and regulatory enforcement, including decisions that quietly redraw an agency's authority. Debate carries argued positions from identified writers, marked as opinion. Government examines the administrative state itself, meaning agencies, procurement, staffing and capacity. Politics News and Business News maintain the daily record of votes, appointments, rulings and the corporate consequences that follow them.
